The Age Of AI

The Age Of AI The Impact of AI On Our Society https://research.uga.edu/presidential-interdisciplinary-seed-grant/wp-content/uploads/sites/93/2022/01/AI.png Based on The Video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dZ_lvDgevk      I think that AI is really cool and that there are a lot of cool things that are going to come from it but currently, AI is on a path that is leading it into a dark age. I don't like the idea of AI tracking our faces and everywhere we go. I know that we have face-recognizing technology because I use it every day to unlock my phone but this video gave me the idea that they could be using that technology in places. In class, we also talked about how AI can mimic voices and that makes things really scary. What is really dangerous is if AI makes its way into the courtroom. Because of the skills of AI, you could discredit and video or sound evidence that you have against a person and that really scares me. Movies are always being created around the idea of evil AI

It is often abbreviated to MSM by journalists. The opposite of MSM is alternative media which is defined as media sources that differ from established or dominant types of media. Sometimes Independent media is a synonym for alternative media. Mainstream Media has been popular for a very long time but now people are looking elsewhere for their news because of the fear that the government has gone through and regulated everything that is on the news. The idea of the government tempering in the news is not a new concept to the public.  Gatekeeping Gatekeeping is defined as the activity of controlling, and usually limi

Did You Hear This? Online Influencers And Their Impact On Society and Communication https://www.volusion.com/blog/content/images/2019/12/influencer-phone.jpg Who Are Online Influencers? An influencer, as defined by a dictionary, is a person who inspires or guides the actions of others. Often specifically a person who is able to generate interest in something by posting about it on social media. An influencer in my opinion is someone who uses social media to encourage viewers to think and act in certain ways. There are multiple types of influencers. If I had to put influencers into categories there would be four kinds of influencers. The first type of influencer would be product/service influencers. These influencers use their platforms to entice you to buy a certain product or to buy from a certain brand. Sometimes you can hear these influencers called ambassadors. They are often paid by companies to do what they do. Then you have political influencers. Their main objective is to push

The Rise of The iPod Touch A Look At iPod Touches Through The Lense Of Diffusion Theory https://www.idemigods.com/v/vspfiles/photos/2G_FLLNT-2.jpg?v-cache=1645793973 What Is Diffusion Theory? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffusion_of_innovations Diffusion of innovations is a theory popularized by Everett Rogers, a communications professor, in order to explain how, why, and at what rate new technology is spread. According to Rodgers, there are five main elements that influence the spread of ideas; innovation, adopters, communication channels, time, and social system. Adopters can be further put into the categories of innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority, and laggards. What Was The iPod Touch? The iPod touch was introduced in 2007 and the last generation was released on May 28, 2019. I can remember when I got my first iPod Touch like it was yesterday. My parents got me one for Christmas and they tried to have me open the iPod and then the case and some add ons but

The way we communicate today has become dependent on technology, and that dependency increases as technology advances. Advanced technology has created an interconnected world where anyone can share with anyone. People no longer have to wait days for their messages to reach their intended sender, they can now send and receive messages instantly. Though technology has had many positive impacts on our society it has had just as many negative impacts on society.  For this post, I want to take a look at some very popular developments in technology and the impacts that they have had on our society.  Where Did Their Voices Go? Taking a look at some antiwar voices that we don't always hear in the media. https://www.theamericanconservative.com/ https://www.antiwar.com/https://www.antiwar.com/ What is Antiwar.com? Antiwar.com was launched in December 1995 during the Bosnian war. They describe themselves as "a sounding board of interest to all who are concerned about U.S. foreign policy and its implications." Antiwar.com cites sources from all sides of the political sphere. They work hard to keep a distinction between fact and opinion. Antiwars prides itself on providing the public with the fact of what's going on in foreign policy without swaying to one political view or another. Antiwar.com was set up to create what is known as "citizen experts" which are citizens who are informed and up to date on current affairs. Its goal was to allow the citizens to get informed on the current foreign affairs of the U.S. They consider themselves an "America first&

Emojis and Emoticons Emojis and Emoticons and Their Impact on Communication Today https://www.pngkey.com/png/full/899-8999285_purple-crown-emoji-emojis-tumblr-stars-png-tumblr.png What's The Difference? Emojis are defined as digital pictograms used to depict objects and ideas such as human emotions, animals, geography, food, and flags. Emoticons are defined as symbols that are intended to represent a facial expression that communicates the state of the author.  The biggest difference between eh two is that emojis are little pictures of whatever item or emotion is trying to represent while emoticons are made of colons, semicolons, dashes, and parentheses. Emoji comes from two Japanese words, "e" meaning picture, and "moji" meaning written character. The word emoticon comes from the word emotion and icon smashed together. While they may serve similar purposes there is a distinct difference between emojis and emoticons. https://toppng.com/uploads/preview/transpare

Marketplace of Ideas      When you allow people to freely share both the truth and misinformations/falsehoods, the truth will always find its way to the surface. By allowing falsehoods the truth will inevitably be made stronger. 2. Participation in Self-Government     Those who participate in elections should be able to be informed about the candidates. The people should be able to acquire information during elections in order to make educated decisions. 3. Stable Change     Allowing outcast societies and citizens to speak freely and vent out their aggravations will help keep violence away. Outcasts will not feel the need to resort to violence to get their points across when they know that they may
